Craftsmanship Rooted in Tradition, Driven by Innovation

At JG Custom Cabinetry, we believe your home deserves more than off-the-shelf solutions. Our work blends time-honored techniques with cutting-edge tools to deliver cabinetry that’s tailored, timeless, and built to last.

In 2004 owner John Gruszynske turned his love of woodworking into creating beautiful spaces for others, one at a time, with the work done out of his garage, resulting in the founding of JG Custom Cabinetry & Design. While the company no longer fits in a garage, that one-at-a-time focus on details and delivering quality finished projects still stands.

JG Custom Cabinetry designs, builds, and installs cabinetry, countertops, sinks, hardware and more in all kinds of homes. From 100 year old historic houses to new construction and builds, our team can deliver handcrafted, and custom made cabinetry, shelving, wooden lockers and more from our expanded shop located in Neenah, Wisconsin.

JG generally tackles projects within an hour of Neenah, including south to West Bend and Fond du Lac, west to Ripon, Green Lake and Waupaca, and north through the Fox River Valley to Green Bay as well as the areas surrounding those communities. A love of woodworking is still alive and well at JG Custom Cabinetry, and our team would love to share our passion with you, no matter where you are!

If you can dream it….we can custom design, manufacture and install it.

Meet the Team Behind the Craft

Executive Team

With over 21 years of business experience, I’ve built a career grounded in commitment, perseverance, and strong values, both personally and professionally. I’ve had the privilege of being married to my incredible wife, Kelly, for nearly 15 years, and together we’ve built a vibrant life filled with love, laughter, and adventure.

We’re proud parents to four amazing daughters who keep life full of joy and inspiration. Outside of work, I’m happiest spending quality time with my family, whether it’s at home or out creating new memories together.

As I reflect on more than two decades in business, I’m grateful for the lessons learned, the relationships built, and the opportunities ahead.

With a career journey that spans railroads, industrial electrical panel fabrication, and a decade at JG Custom Cabinetry, I bring a wealth of hands-on experience and a steadfast commitment to quality. Over the years, I’ve honed a diverse skill set that blends technical expertise with adaptability, a combination shaped by years of hard work across varied industries.

At the heart of my life is a deep commitment to family and faith. Happily married for 30 years to my wonderful Christian wife, we’ve raised three incredible children and are blessed with three lively grandchildren who keep us on our toes. Our family roots run deep in military service, having grown up in retired military households and experienced life in many different places, fostering resilience and a broad worldview.

When I’m not working, I find joy in nature walks, cherishing moments with family, and being actively involved in our church community. These passions fuel my dedication both at home and in the workplace, reminding me that true success is built on strong relationships and unwavering values.

With three decades in the Kitchen and Bath industry, I’ve worn many hats, designer, manufacturer’s rep, and now Vice President of Sales at JG Custom Cabinetry. My journey has taken me from hands-on design work to strategic leadership, with a passion for craftsmanship and client experience guiding every step.

Over the years, I’ve had the honor of working on projects for legends like Donna Summer, Garth Brooks, Alan Jackson, and Ronnie Dunn, proof that great design truly hits all the right notes.

My background includes degrees in Project Management and Interior Design with a focus in Art History, giving me both the practical tools and creative insight to navigate the ever-evolving design world.

Beyond the office, life is beautifully full. I’m a proud parent to five amazing daughters and a doting grandparent to one equally amazing granddaughter. Our home is shared with Oswald, the 130 lb dog, Orville, a spirited beagle, and Birdie, a 19-year-old blind, deaf cat who still runs the show.

When I’m not working or spending time with my family, you’ll likely find me on the move. Traveling feeds my soul, and as I like to say, “I haven’t been everywhere, but it’s on my list.”

SALES and DESIGN Team

I discovered early on how much I enjoyed transforming my own room, constantly reimagining the layout and decor to make the most of a small space. That childhood curiosity turned into a lifelong passion for interior design and the belief that every space, no matter the size, holds endless potential.

I graduated from Fox Valley Technical College in 2023 with degrees in Interior Design and Kitchen & Bath Design. Now, I get to do what I love: helping people design spaces that are not only beautiful, but also meaningful and functional.

Whether you’re dreaming of a kitchen that works smarter or rethinking how to use space more efficiently, I’m committed to finding thoughtful, creative solutions that suit your lifestyle. I believe your home should tell your storm, a place that brings you joy, reflects who you are, and supports you and/or your family’s lifestyle.

Design is more than a job, it’s my way of helping people fall in love with where they live.

With over a decade of experience in both commercial and residential design, I bring a thoughtful, well-rounded approach to every project. I earned my degree in Interior Architecture from the University of Wisconsin–Stevens Point, and since then, I’ve had the opportunity to work across a wide variety of design styles and project scopes.

Originally from De Pere and now based in Green Lake, I find inspiration in the quiet pace of country living and am constantly working on new home projects of my own. When I’m not designing, I enjoy spending time with my family, boating, and gardening, activities that help keep my creativity grounded and refreshed.

Above all, I believe that great design should be both beautiful and functional, reflecting the unique needs and personality of each client. I’m passionate about creating spaces that feel meaningful, timeless, and truly lived in.

Design is more than a job for me, it’s a conversation. I love connecting with clients, understanding their style, and transforming their vision into spaces that feel truly personal. I hold a degree in Kitchen & Bath and Interior Design, and I’m an AKBD-certified designer through the National Kitchen & Bath Association (NKBA), which reinforces my commitment to industry standards and design excellence.

With over three years of experience in cabinetry for both residential and commercial spaces, and two years in flooring, I’ve come to appreciate how the smallest details often make the biggest impact. My approach blends functionality with creativity, ensuring that each project is not only beautiful but thoughtfully tailored to the people who live in it.

When I’m not designing floor plans, meeting with homeowners, or managing a project from concept to completion, you’ll likely find me restoring old furniture with a fresh twist, wandering through the pages of a history book, or treasure hunting in antique shops. Rainy days are made for good books and cozy corners. I find peace in the outdoors, whether it’s a hike through the woods or a weekend of camping, always with my family and pets. One of the greatest joys in my life is teaching and mentoring youth at my church, planting seeds of encouragement, faith, and hope for the road ahead.

For 35 years, I have built a career centered around transforming visions into beautiful, functional spaces. What drives me most is the opportunity to collaborate with clients, helping them realize spaces they never imagined possible.

My greatest reward? Running into clients years later who still love their kitchens, a testament to the lasting impact of thoughtful design. With a sharp eye for detail and the unique ability to visualize the finished project from the start, I bring both precision and creativity to every endeavor.

More than just clients, the people I work with become friends, making each project a meaningful partnership. When I’m not designing, you’ll find me on the golf course, enjoying live music, traveling, decorating, or cherishing time with my closest friends and family, activities that fuel my creativity and passion for design.

OPERATIONS Team

With a background that bridges technology, design, and hands-on craftsmanship, I bring a multidisciplinary approach to my work as a Cabinet Engineer.

Originally from the Milwaukee area and now based in the Fox Valley, I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science and a Master’s degree in Industrial Design. My professional journey includes eight years as a Software Engineer and two years in UI/UX Design, where I focused on developing intuitive, user-centered solutions. Today, I apply that same precision and problem-solving mindset to cabinetry and product engineering where form and function must work seamlessly together.

My passion for design extends beyond the workplace. I enjoy woodworking, 3D printing, and cooking, as well as spending time outdoors camping and exploring. I also have a strong interest in gaming and digital media having co-hosted a podcast for eight years, which included filming collaborative content with a major video game developer.

At the intersection of engineering, design, and creativity, I’m driven to create thoughtful, high-quality solutions that balance aesthetics with performance.

Known for his hands-on leadership style and attention to detail, he brings a practical, solutions-focused approach to every project. Whether overseeing daily operations or improving workflow efficiency, Tim ensures production runs smoothly and at the highest quality standards.

With a Master’s Degree in Strategic Communications and a focus on Social Media Management, I’ve built a career rooted in thoughtful connection and creativity. My journey started in the world of Theatre, where I first discovered the magic of storytelling and the joy of making people feel something real.

That path took me around the globe as a performer with Disney Cruise Line and Universal Studios Japan, and eventually brought me to a space where I now help brands and individuals tell their stories in meaningful, authentic ways—as a social media coordinator and freelance content creator.

Whether I’m writing a caption, planning a campaign, or simply sharing something beautiful online, my goal is always the same: to connect with heart, uplift others, and leave things a little brighter than I found them.

I live a life filled with creativity, kindness, and two very spoiled cats who remind me every day to slow down, stay curious, and enjoy the little things.
